SESSIONS THAT I OFFER

  • 1:1 Counseling

One on one with an attentive unbiased party can help an individual process the daily difficulties they may face and find empowerment to make the next step for a positive change.

  • TEEN COUNSELING

The teenage years are some of the most challenging. These transformative years come with many changes, so the exploration of the self and values can really help a child move forward.

  • PLAY THERAPY

Through play, children can communicate in the only way they know. A safe space is being created for them to explore new ways to express their emotions and feel validated in all the feelings they may be facing.

  • Parent sessions

Collaboration is important to help build a healthy family foundation. Through parent sessions we can get on the same page to share techniques and new ways to support the child in the home and with their personal struggles. These positive techniques can help guardians and parents exhibit understanding and compassionate ways to communicate emotions.

  • Group Counseling

When there are interpersonal issues that individuals face or need support in a specific area, group counseling with peers can be very helpful. Sharing a safe space with others who are going through similar struggles can build a mutual support that could be long lasting. There is a sense of community that is very helpful to battle loneliness or depression. The groups I facilitate are dependent on the needs of clients like teen support, anxiety groups, self-esteem workshop or social skills.

  • Family Counseling

Family counseling can be helpful when members are having conflict and struggle with communication. When the dynamics are no longer working and loved ones are suffering, they may need empowerment to make the changes they need to build back the family connection.

It is a beautiful experience being with ourselves at a level of complete acceptance. When that begins to happen, when you give up resistance and needing to be perfect, a peace will come over you as you have never known. -Ruth Fishel
